This was a fun exploration into the modern craft beer scene. It is barrel aged. It has lactose. It is a pastry stout with a donut as the vision. And together it checks all of the sought after boxes: good barrel and bourbon character, blueberry and cake come through, though could be slightly more defined, and the end is plenty sweet enough to cover up any bitterness. Now whether you want this or not is another discussion. For me I like it when the mood strikes me. Little muddled before it warms more, warmer feeling with medium viscosity, but like I said, does what it is meant to. Pour is good but not great, tan cap is short lived. Taste is a deeper version of the smell, but smell is a touch more cohesive. The wife liked it.
