"Where did it all go wrong," I thought to myself. After a deflating narrow home loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes I sat at 2 Dogs Pub. Were we unfocused? Should I have gone for it on 4th and short instead of punting the ball away as time wound down and I tried to salt the game away. I decided I needed to try something new as we prepared for a road trip to Minnesota after the upcoming bye week - so I asked for a Mays Island IPA. This IPA is loaded with a hop character that is reminiscent of lemons, passionfruit, and pine (which is where our starting full back would be sitting after I sat down to break down film). It reminded me of a Sculpin IPA I enjoyed in happier times after a Rose Bowl victory in Pasadena. It had the bold flavor that was lacking in our passing attack that afternoon against OSU. I needed beer that is also dry and very drinkable and I'm glad I ordered a Mays Island IPA - because I ordered several that evening.

Excellent hoppy IPA. A little bit of a dry feel with just the right balance of fruity and pine undertones. Very easy to drink. Good Stuff!
