A 330ml green long-neck bottle with no freshness date.
The words "Cold draft" on the label are larger that the beer's name. off to a bad start (the fact that it was sold as a $1 special did'nt help too).
But, hey - it's all about collecting those labels...)
Clear pale yellow, countable bubbles. modest white head.
Almost no aroma at all and little exists is boring.
sweet malt/adjuct mixture with no bitterness what so ever.
The more I drink the more i'm reminded of chinese food...
It seems like some stir-fry oils found their way to this bad brew.
Fizzy and light bodied. average drinkability. not a must...

Surprised to see this on the local shelves, and at a Co-op liquor store no less. Came in a 6 pack of 330 ml green bottles, gold label, 5.3% abv listed. Pours out a very pale straw colour, crystal clear but somewhat lifeless. Pretty big head on the pour though, yet with minimal retention after a brief period. It smells of fermented rice, which what do you know, is the 4th ingredient listed on the back of the label. Hey, at least they admit to their adjuncts, I'll give them that. A slight bit of grainy malt becomes apparent after a while. The flavour is quite lifeless as well, yet unoffensive. In fact I don't really taste anything at all until the aftertaste, which starts sweet, and then that rice flavour kicks in and lingers for a very long time. The mouthfeel is light with a kick of carbonation to keep it from seeming too watery. This lager is very easy to drink, but with a nearly complete lack of flavour I don't see much point in the consumption of it, or purchasing it again. I suppose it could substitute for a lawnmower beer, but why bother paying import prices when you can get the same thing or better locally?
