I had back in 2016 when we were in Lisbon Portugal. We were at D Afonso o Gordo and the waiter kept bringing me what they thought was the best beer in Lisbon. I remember this been pretty stardard imperial stout.

Bottle. Darkest brown. Thick dense creamy head.
Rich aroma of sweet caramelised molasses and coffee.
A rather burnt bitter flavour. Some liquorice.
Almost full bodied.
Lacks refinement. Too boozy.

L - deep deep black
S - licorice mostly
T - licorice, smoked malt, earthy notes with a good hop bitterness
F - Too damn drinkable for its high abv. Not too smooth, carbonation sharpness
O - Great imperial stout from Portugal, deeper taste as it warms up but always stay drinkable

Poured into a tulip glass.
A: The body is pure black with a fine, weak, caramel to white head that has almost no retention but leaves great impressions of lacing in the glass.
S: The aroma gifts us with a hint of toffee behind all the hops present.
T: The flavor is crazy, you can taste toffee, coffee and the end of soft hoppiness - wow. Also, for a beer with 11.6% ABV, it sure looks like it's more a 7%-8% ABV beer.
M: The beer is so damn consistent, it feels like your eating this beer. It's dense, the carbonation is near to perfection only loosing to the bitterness which should be a little bit higher here. Due to the hints of sweet coffee and toffee, it looks more like a sweet beer than a bitter beer. Still, damn freakin' great.
O: I've had tons of stuff right now but this proves that Portugal is in the right way to be known in the world of craft beer. To me, this could become a modern classic if the next iterations go well. Great label, great beer, great brewery. This is world class.
