Horizont Sörök

I visited Horizont's taproom a few weeks ago for their anniversary party celebrating Hazy Queen. The taproom is not always open, but they do open up at times during the summer and for special events, so if you want to visit you have to check their social media to see when they're going to be open. On the day I went, service was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Despite the irregular hours, it's a totally complete taproom, with kind of an industrial vibe indoors (it is the brewery, after all) and a lovely beer garden outside that is wonderful on a nice sunny day. There were 10 beers on tap when I was there with a couple stouts, a raspberry "pastry ale", raspberry sour, a sour with Earl Gray, a witbier-spiced saison, cucumber-lime lager, NEIPA, milkshake pale ale, and a standard pale lager. In addition to these, they had bottles for on-site consumption or to-go, mostly big heavy limited-edition imperial stouts. Overall Horizont's beers are decent if not great, but they bring their A-game for the taproom for sure.
