A unique take on the traditional Christmas ale that includes apple cider, clover honey, fresh-grated ginger, cinnamon and a small amount of cherry-smoked malt.

Canned on 10/22/21. 16oz can poured into a tulip.
Pours amber with orange hues; subtle haze but still has decent clarity; small off-white head that quickly fades leaving little to no lacing and retention. Nice color.
The aromas are malt forward. Some apple and caramel. Hints of cocoa and spice.
The flavors follow the nose. The spices are balanced. More red apple notes. More caramel and toffee. Moderate sweetness. There's an underlying bitterness to this one. Solid malt backbone. Alcohol is well hidden.
Mouthfeel is nice. It's medium-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's sharp, fluffy and smooth.
This is an alright Christmas beer. It doesn't quite stand up to the other Ohio Christmas Ales in my opinion, but it's still not bad. It's fitting for the holiday season.

L: Dark red mahogany look with no head.
S: Cinnamon, ginger & apple
T: like the smell but nothing overpowering. Also taste the honey with a very light smoke malt. Everything is well balanced. Alcohol is slightly noticeable but does not take away from anything.
F: Feel seems a little light compared to other beers
In the style, but then again the style is very broad so who am
I to say!
O: Wow! This is a special winter warmer. The addition of apple cider and cherry-smoked malt with the honey & spices make this a special beer. I've had some great winter warmers but this is at the top of my list. Thank you R Shea!
