Brewed as one of their Lab Rat experiments, this is the second time they've offered this brew, and I have a feeling it won't be their last, so it's time to add it.
On nitro, this pours black, with an extremely thick, creamy tan head.
Despite being on nitro, (they must be doing something different here with their nitro line), there is a ton of aroma coming off of this. Actually, a milky creaminess comes off most prominently, but there are the expected notes that come with the name.
The flavor is where this brew really explodes. Absolutely enormous pecan pie flavors assault the senses. Huge caramelized sugar flavors, with some maple and even some sort of fruit, maybe apple.
Very smooth and creamy, this beer goes down far too easily. It feels overly indulgent, like you might need to do a couple hundred pull-ups after a pint.
This is definitely a dessert brew, while the flavors are super intense and spot on, after a good session the sweetness builds and becomes cloying, for sure.
