The whole Twitchy series is a triumph and this one is one of the greatest. I've always felt that R. Shea over-achieves on Twitchy - they are their best product. This one is a cut above.

It pours black with a little head. The aroma is a smooth, roasty, malty smell with exotic pumpkin and habanero poking through. The taste is a well rounded twitchy stout with the extra hot kick and hints of pumpkin spice. It is one of the best autumn specialties out there.

Highly recommended. I will try to beat you to the stor for what's left of them.

16 ounce can, canned on 08/02/23. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like pumpkin spices, roasted malt, coffee and some habanero. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some burnt/charred malt and chocolate flavors. I like it and think it's pretty tasty overall, but wish the heat from the habanero was stronger as it's milder than I was expecting. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's creamy and coating with a good amount of soft carbonation. I liked this one a lot, definitely one of the better Twitchy variants I've tried. Worth picking up if you like pumpkin stouts with a kick!

This has made an appearance again and I was not disappointed, I really like R. Shea for their stouts as they're much more consistent in quality to me. Pumpkin spice is light but it's there blending with the coffee and it has a good spice flavor on the finish.

16 FL. OZ. can
Served in an imperial nonic pint glass

This beer pours black and is topped with an inch of mocha head that leaves nice lacing.

Coffee leads the way. The pumpkin pie spices follow and are not a harsh or in your face as most pumpkin ales. I cannot get any pepper.

Coffee forward. The pumpkin pie spices follow. Combined with the coffee makes the spices not only tolerable but quite good. I swear I get hints of habanero from time to time, but I can't specifically nail it down.

Full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel

The Twitchy Bitch series has been a winner for my tastebuds.

Got a single 16 oz. can of this to try. This beer pours a very dark brown, practically black color. Has a silky looking, tan head that's an inch when first poured. Head settles eventually to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass and some swirls of film layer surface foam. Not much lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, coffee, pumpkin spice, and some habanero peppers. Just like what this beer is described as being. The taste follows suit, with roasted malts and black coffee bitterness followed by a nice sweetness from the pumpkin spice that's rounded out by the habanero pepper spice. The habanero is actually the dominant flavor here, but only slightly. It doesn't really come close to overpowering the other flavors, but the habanero makes its presence quite well known indeed. Being that I am a big chili head myself, I quite enjoy the peppery, spicy burn from the peppers here. A bit of milk chocolate seems to make its presence known here too after a long while. Has a smooth, slightly oily, also somewhat creamy, slightly crisp, medium to full bodied mouthfeel. Has a long finish with a fairly sweet and spicy aftertaste.

Dark beer with light head, great body, aroma deep coffee, spice and habanero. Rich flavor with coffee, pumpkin spice on front , habanero on back end. Really enjoyed this beer, well worth checking out.

Look: Pours (16 oz can) jet black with khaki head. Great lacing.

Smell: Pumpkin spice, coffee, vanilla and chocolate.

Taste: Pumpkin spice (not over bearing), coffee, chocolate, vanilla and habenero pepper (after taste). Not overly sweet.

Feel: Thick and creamy mouth feel.

Overall: Another great imperial stout beer from Robt. Shea Brewing Company. Love the combination of habenero with pumpkin. Nice kick of heat at the finish (but not lingering). Alcohol content is negligible.

Many of Shea's imperial style stouts can be classified as desert beers based upon the sweetness. This version is not in that realm. Please keep producing until end of fall. I would prefer this on a cool autumn evening. Cheers- The Quadman.

Canned on 8/5/20. 16oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black; creamy khaki head that falls leaving great thick retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have some pumpkin spices along with some subtle coffee notes. Hints of vanilla. Some roasted characteristics. Malts are there. The flavors are bold. The spices, coffee and habaneros all shine without dominating each other. Cinnamon, allspice, clove are there. Subtle hints of anise. The coffee comes through and blends really well with the spices. The habaneros really come through in the finish to give it the perfect amount of heat. It's spicy, but definitely not over the top and it doesn't really linger too much. Malts do their thing. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed but it's hard to tell with the habaneros. Mouthfeel is full-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's sharp, fluffy, creamy and smooth.

This is a really nice stout. They deliver on everything that you would expect. Once again, the pumpkin pie spices, coffee and habaneros all shine. It's very bold but ultimately balanced. The craftsmanship is on point. It's obviously perfect for the fall weather. Well done.
