Poured out of a 16 oz can into one of my stange glasses, this beer pours a clear medium to dark copper/amber color with a white head w/ a very slight pink hue and lots of streams of little bubbles rapidly and continuously rising to the beer's surface. The head is a good inch thick when first poured, but makes a fizzing noise and dissipates very quickly. Reminds me of the type of foam head you get when you pour soda pop from a 2 liter bottle into a a glass. Head very quickly settles to, well, nothing really. A very small white ring lining the inside of the glass. Aromas of bready malts and oats along with fruit notes of cherry, pineapple, and tangerine. Also certainly some vanilla. All of these flavors are present in the flavor as profile as well. Starting out w/ the bready, biscuity malts and oats that give way to tart, slightly to somewhat sour notes w/ cherry, tangerine, and pineapple notes and a bit of salt that all give way to a bit of marshmallow and certainly some vanilla. Not really much, if any, discernible hop flavors here. And that just fine and spot on for the style. Really good flavor profile here and balance of flavors, and a really interesting take on the style. Has a crisp, also smooth, dry, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean and dry finish and aftertaste. And those tart, sour flavors also sit on my palate for a long while after each sip. Quite enjoyable.
