16 FL. OZ. can
Served in an imperial nonic pint glass
This beer pours black with a thin mocha head that leaves little lacing.
It's like a chocolate, peanut butter, hazelnut smell. Pretty nutty
The taste follows the smell. I swear there is hazelnut in this beer. I definitely perceive it. Chocolate and peanut butter. Nutty finish
Full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
It's a bit cloying. Other than that, I like it. It's good in moderation is another way to put it. After about 4-6 ounces it becomes a bit too much. More alcohol less flavor. That is why malt liquor is so popular.

This peanut butter thing is so hard to get right for me, this tasted like an amped up version of Left Hands PB Cup milk stout. Which tastes like the milk after you have cocoa puffs. So that said, not a bad beer but to me it didn't deliver what it said it would.

16oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black; khaki head that fades leaving nice retention and lacing. The aromas have peanut butter leading the way. Some chocolate pie crust. Malts are there. The flavors follow the nose. Strong blend of peanut butter and chocolate. Some chocolate syrup as well. Hints of vanilla cream. Moderate sweetness. Low bitterness. Strong malt backbone. Mild warmth in the finish, but it's not hot or boozy at all. The alcohol is well hidden and basically goes unnoticed considering the ABV. Mouthfeel is full-bodied with moderate to low carbonation. It's fluffy, creamy, velvety, smooth and dangerously drinkable.
This is a great Imperial Stout. This is basically everything that I'd expect from a "Peanut Butter Oreo Double Imperial Oatmeal Pastry Stout". R. Shea makes some great Imperial Stouts and this one is no different. Well done. I really like it.
