I was in mid pour when a bunch of huge nasty looking pinkish-orange chunks of what I assume is guava pulp filled up half the glass. The thickest I've ever seen. I mean, once you get over how disgusting it looks, it's actually really good. It's still just kind of like, "what the fuck" though. They could achieve the flavor without the mass of sediment, hopefully they'll filter at least some of it out in future methods because even your most veteran craft beer fans will find this unsettling

Appearing as a sort of opaque pinkish-orange dog vomit, this has a short off-white head that settles quickly to a fuzzy film.

This has that fluffy body OG R. Shea was known for before the expansion, but is simultaneously light on the palate. The guava is plenty present, but mild, meeting a little bite of spicy aspirin before finishing very dry.

So, yeah, it's a fruited NEIPA, but I just don't understand who's asking for that. NEIPA can be fruity enough on its own, as even R. Shea has proven, so I don't see the point. And hell, I haven't ever seen the point since Trillium first started pulling this shit. It too often amps up any acidity that might already be present from the hop acids, while drowning out any worthy qualities of the IPA itself, which I suppose may entirely be the point.
