22 ounce bottle, barreled 6/5/2020, Batch 42, bottled 8/23/2021. Aged in Watershed bourbon barrels, purchased at the brewery last year. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like toffee, vanilla, coffee, bourbon and some roasted malt. For the most part the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some brown sugar, dark bread, cream, earthy, coffee and oaky flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, certainly worth trying if you like sweeter tasting barrel aged imperial stouts! Hoping RShea will make this one again!

From the 22 oz bottle in a snifter via Bluejacket74----Cheers Brother! You out did yourself!
This monster aged in Watershed Bourbon barrels pours a dark coal black with a modest
head of khaki foam that settles to a thick ring with a subtle dusty layer. Nose of bourbon,
vanilla, coffee, toffee, faint oak, dark chocolate, and brulee. Flavors exceed by presentation
with dark cocoa, mellow delicious bourbon, brown sugar, light vanilla, mellow oak, dark
coffee, brulee, subtle cream, tobacco, moderate char, dark fruit touches, and toffee.
Very nice mouth feel; full body, smooth, coating, light carbonation, rich, and finishing
warm and inviting.

Overall----a wow brew to be certain.

Thanks again to Bluejacket74! This one takes the cake!
