22 ounce bottle, brewed 9/9/2019, Batch 6, barreled 12/19/2019, bottled 8/19/2021, Willett bourbon barrel aged stated on the label. Purchased at the brewery a few months ago. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with not quite an inch tan head that didn't stick around for too long. Small amount of lacing. I like the aroma, it's mostly sweet and smells like hazelnut, chocolate, vanilla, cream and a bit of bourbon. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some caramel and roasted malt flavors noticeable too. Flavor has more bourbon bite to it. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and a bit creamy with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a pretty good barrel aged imperial stout, think I liked the base version more though. Definitely worth trying if you get the chance!
