22 ounce bottle, barreled 8/7/2020, Batch 63, bottled 8/23/2021. Blend of imperial stout aged in Maker's Mark bourbon barrels (14%) and Watershed bourbon barrels (86%) as stated on the label. Purchased at the brewery last year. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head that didn't stick around for too long. I like the aroma, it's mostly sweet and smells like caramel, vanilla, bourbon, chocolate and a bit of roasted malt. The taste is pretty much the same as the aroma, but there's also some oaky and toffee flavors noticeable. As with the aroma, it's definitely a sweeter tasting brew but not overpoweringly so. Good amount of barrel character too. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's coating and a bit rich with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. Doesn't drink like it's 14% either. I liked this brew a lot, definitely worth trying if you're into sweeter tasting barrel aged imperial stouts!
