Matte black with a thin tan blanket.
This is a slight bit sharper and brighter than the 6 Year Templeton Rye, but with plenty of countering chars that bring black pepper, raisins and sassafras.
The base is roundly frothy with some milk chocolate and marshmallow exhaling a little warmth, and maybe more tannin, all while far less hot than you'd imagine for the listed ABV.
