The beer pours with a fizzing sound. The high head is pale brown, airy and quite firm. It sinks slowly leaving no lacing. The clear liquid is clear; the colour is deep brown-red (30 EBC).
The smell is light with some lightly roasted malty notes. Hints of nuts, honey and dried fruits. Some dry mineral flavours of chalk. Neutral bitter notes in the background.
The taste is somewhat roasted and very malty. There is some odd chalk-like dry flavour in the start, but it passes quickly, leaving room for a massive smooth sweetness. Some very fragile metallic bitter flavours in the aftertaste, as well as some honey, nuts, grilled meats and dried fruits.
The carbonation is quite mild and short. The liquid is smooth and very sticky.
An oversweet experience. My lips are a bit smeary after drinking this one.
