Winterlong Brewing 'Reckless Abandon' DIPA @ 8.5% , served from a 473 ml can , originally tasted on tap at GCBF'18
A-pour is light gold from the tap/can to a hazy gold in the glass with a medium white head leaving a fine spotty lace along the sampler/tulip
S-tropical fruits
T-enjoyable tropical DIPA , easy drinking
MF-decent carbonation , feels full bodied
Ov-almost a NE DIPA

2020 version - clearly different than prior iterations - comes in at 8.5% and in no way hazy.
Pours crystal clear pale golden with 2 fingers foamy white head.
Malty on the nose - cereal, grainy with notes of tropical fruit, generic citrus and slightly floral.
Citrus and floral hops, sweet cereal malt, melon, ripe orange, tropical fruit with a mildly resinous sticky bittersweetness at the back.
Super smooth higher end of medium mouthfeel with crisp carbonation, hides the 8.5% and finishes with a deliciously lingering resinous hop bitterness.

650ml bomber poured into tulip 11/11/16

a hazy orange liquid, looks thick with just a few streams of slow bubbles bu they manage to sustain a two finger foam for ages leaving several thick rings

S mango, sweet orange, grapefruit, lots of burnt brown sugar and toffee, has some booze and a little malty for the style

T more rind and lots of pine compared to the nose, tastes like its over the hill even though this was bought at the brewery last week so I don't think its old

M thick, gritty, bubbles soften it up, very bitter, a fair bit of heat for 8.5%, finish is like chewing on a pine needle

O OK for a new brewery but there's room for improvement, a little boozy and the malts already starting to come in on what should be a fresh bottle

Looked great but pretty average elsewhere, its not bad by any means but falls a little short where it mattered
