A barrel-aged stout conditioned on toasted organic coconut and cocoa nibs. It is incredibly smooth and full-bodied for a mid-strength stout with just the right hit of coconut and cocoa. This beer joins the company of our Erebus and Terror Imperial Stouts, as Neptune was the name of the dog that was brought along on the ill-fated Franklin Expedition.

A barrel-aged stout with coconut and cocoa nibs.
Appearance - Pours a jet black with four fingers of frothy mocha tan head.
Smell - earthy, leafy, and floral hops, hint of barrel of some sort. cocoa, coconut, roasted malts, and earthy yeast.
Taste - earthy, leafy, and floral hops upfront. The barrel comes through next followed by the cocoa and coconut. The roasted malts and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth and roasty alongside the cocoa lingering.
Overall - A bold and smooth stout that is very easy drinking considering the ABV. I wonder what barrels this beer was aged in as no information was provided but otherwise a pleasurable tipple on this frigid Cowtown xmas eve evening.
