Wow! I've finally found a habanero ale that I like! Served on tap at the pub. Pour is a brown garnet color with white foam atop. Aroma is nice and sweet and spicy: habanero pepper and caramel, toffee and dark fruit. The sweet comes first in the flavor, then a wave of heat that travels to the sinuses and disippates up off the top of the head. As the heat dies, the sweet habanero pepper flavor comes through which compliments the malt nicely. It's the same with every sip: the heat builds, wanes, and leaves behind a nice amber flavor.
