22oz bottle.
This one opened up to a very loud pssst and I expected it to gush all over my desk, but thankfully it didin't! Poured a deeper golden color with a huge sized off white head. Lots of big fuzzy and unattractive floaters that's making me second guess drinking this. Aromas of citrus (lemons), yeast, honey, light spices, and a little funky. Tastes of tart lemons, wheat, and light spices. Lively and fizzy body.

Massively carbonated orangish maize with a softly creamy cap of pearl colored froth that is currently filling half the glass after a pour that was as gentle as humanly possible. Given all those bubbles, there's no way it's going to deflate in the next ten minutes. And I'm not anticipating much lace when it finally does. Edit: actually, there's a decent amount.
My most recent Central Coast Brewing beer (Scotch Ale) was incredibly phenolic. This one is too, but those aromas and flavors don't work nearly as well in the American pale wheat ale style as they do in the Scotch ale style. On second thought, they don't work here at all. How does puckery, clove-spiced fruit grab you? Me neither.
Actually Honey Wheat isn't quite as bad as I'd feared. It doesn't qualify as good, or even average, and I have no desire to drink it again, but the honey provides a sweetness that makes the off-flavors slightly more tolerable. How's that for a wildly enthusiastic thumbs up?
The puckery fruit noted in the nose (peaches and apricots) is still coated with a thick layer of clove dust and is now swimming in honey made by bees from the wrong side of the hive. The ones who scored significantly lower than a 'bee average' in their chosen craft. Sorry, but I have to make this interesting somehow.
It's hard to get a handle on the mouthfeel due to the still chaotic carbonation. I get the sense that it's lighter than it should be, but who the hell knows? Whatever the brewery intended, it sure wasn't this. At least I hope it wasn't.
Honey Wheat is terrible. Thankfully, it's the last Central Coast beer that I will ever drink. Either I got ahold of three bad bottles... or these guys have quality control issues... or they have no idea what good beer is all about. Not recommended. Not even close.

Had a chance to enjoy this beer during a recent trip to SLO. It was bottled under the "Apple Farm" label, but is clearly a Central Coast brewery product.
A nice lemony appearance meshes nicely with the citrus taste with more than a hint of lemon, wheat, and a sweet aftertaste. It is indeed a basic flavor, and, to my mind, quite a pleasant one. The mouthfeel is hefeweizen-esque, with a decent amount of carbonation but without an overly large head.
Quaffable.

Pours a hazy cloudy orange marmalade hue topped with a settled ivory coating leaving little lace in the glass.
Light aroma of lemon peel and lolipop candy sugar.
First swigs: Tart lemon peel and Lemon-Head candy sweet. Thin on flavor. Needs more depth. Tart and this with an overly frothy foamer feel.
Only $3.49 a 22 oz bomber. My guess is the ABV is about 5% ABV. Needs more depth.
