this is so light as to be a flaw, barely even light brown in color, the malt depth i look for in this type of beer is not even close to there, it tastes watered down and overly safe, one of the least impressive beers we had here overall. that said, maybe its just the recipe, there dont seem to be any significant flaws in the beer, save for its conservative approach to a classic style. just the lightest bit of toasted wheat flavor to this, a slightly caramelized sweetness, and a trace of banana forward german yeast, but even the yeast seems muted in this one. the body is watery, and the warming nutty grain flavor that comes in for a second is gone all too quickly as there is nothing to keep it around. couple that with the sagging carbonation, and you have a beer thats quite easy drinking, but also rather underwhelming in several respects. i preferred almost every other beer they made in here to this one, it justs seems so far away from the best examples of the style that i really couldnt get into it...
