A: Poured into a Duvel tulip to a deep golden orange topped by a dense and rocky three figner white head which actually continued to build after pouring instead of receding which makes the retention spectacular. Once this fades I expect it to have excellent lacing.
S: Smells of tropical fruits and orchard fruits with some nice funk, hints of tart apple skin and oak with some slight spice. Slight honey note as well.
T: Taste is strong orchard fruits with some slight tropical fruit. It tastes a little like bubblegum as well. Nice light funk with a little spice and just a slight tartness. There's a little grassy note in here as well as a slight earthyness. On the swallow this one is a whole lot of orchard fruits and apples with some lingering spice and light funk.
M: The beer has a moderate amount of body with some fairly effervescent carbonation. Some time in the glass and nucleation appears to have calmed it down a little. The brett in secondary fermentation ensures that this one has a dry finish.
O: This is a pretty neat experiment for the second installment. Interesting flavors and complexity on this one are keeping things engaging on the palate. This series is kind of a lateral for beer geeks. Overall it's a well made and executed brett beer that's worth a try if you want to see what the different strains bring to the party.

God damn is this gusher really active. A massive frothy white foam clings in thick chunks on the glass above a hazed out dark orange body.
Smell is clean and sharp citric funk with apple and hints of oak and black pepper.
Taste is semi-tart, slightly spicy phenolic funk through a light, smooth body that does not have a lot of actual texture from the carbonation. Very lightly crisp, flavors of green apple, grape and herbs are featured before a dry finish.

Bottle shared by Adam thanks for the opportunity. Hazy deep Golden color thin bubbly white head. Huge clove reminds me of ketchup. Light tartness just ok.

Split with JLindros.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice mostly clear golden copper hue with a big rocky head that fades to leave thick lacing.
S - Aromas of light funk, faint citrus, nice subtle acidity. Solid but nothing special.
T - Taste is similar to the nose. Surprising amount of malt sweetness. Some decent funk, lighter citrus, fainter caramel. Certainly doesn't taste like brett lam.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, thin.
O - Overall this was a very very poor beer. This isn't brett lam...what the heck is this?!

Again erupts with huge foamy creamy head fades slowly, tons of messy lacing, semi hazy golden orange
Nose little funk, fruity, faint barnyard funk, hint berry, faint strawberry, generic fruit, same base sweet malt.
Taste sweet candy malt, typical not great Brett characters, ester and weird chemical, little bitter hop grassy earthy, a really icky sour milk thing
Mouth is sticky syrupy way too much carb
Overall bad, expected more of this and got less than the other ones.I'll

Bottle into a snifter appears hazy light copper with excessive foaming head.
The nose on this has some nondescriptive fruity character, chalk and some citrus to carbonic and mineral character.
The taste is citrus, wheat, herbs, minerals, carbonics, cheese, plastic, clove and lingering bitterness.
This is light in body with excessive carbonation. Getting to drink all the elements of funk beers side by sidewas fun but there was not enough differences between them to warrent paying for them again. Not to mention they are so carbonated you will likely lose some contents when opening.

750mL bottle acquired through The Bruery's Society. Bottled 7/22/15. Served in a Bruery snifter.
Pours a hazy, muted pale orange with a towering four fingers of white head. The froth never fully dissipates, leaving me to drink through the foam. The huge, lingering crown leaves thick, full curtains of rocky lacing.
A floral sweetness pervades the aroma, almost like honeysuckle with hints of graham cracker, wet hay and a vague citrus.
Flavors are fruity, earthy, mildly sweet and undeniably funky. As in the nose I get a good bit of honeysuckle along with orange blossom, earthen funk, mild unsweetened fruitcake and slightly mildewed old grass. An interesting and easy drinking blend.
Dry, medium feel with moderately soft carbonation. The finish is a strange and funky mix of earth, flowers and desweetened honey.
It's a little unfortunate that I was not able to get this a little sooner to have more of a baseline before the Brett really started to develop, as it clearly has. This is still a tasty brew and much evolved from the funk laden blonde ale base that I remember from its three siblings. I'm sure I'll enjoy the comparison of all four together in another six months or so.

L - Pours a pale amber (touch of gold) body with a frothy three finger eggshell colored head.
S - Funky, earthy and light belgian yeast. Straightforward.
T - Funky, bready, belgian esters and mild tartness.
F - Light bodied, high carbonation and a dry finish. Crisp.
O - Super drinkable. It didn't wow me and that's really not the point of the series. It's a very simple beer to put focus on the individual brett strain.
