A: Poured into a Duvel tulip to a deep reddish orange beer which is topped by a dense and slightly rocky three finger white head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing.
S: Smells of blueberries, sourness, oak, and some creamy wheat. Pretty run of the mill for this series.
T: Taste is sour blueberries up front with some really nice blueberry notes. Good sourness throughout as well with some of that creamy wheat and smooth oak. On the swallow there's more sourness, blueberries, creamy wheat and a little more soft oak.
M: This beer is on the lighter side of things and it does approach being watery. Carbonation is effervescent and slightly prickly while the beer has a drying finish due to the acidity.
O: Overall there's nothing wrong with this beer. Really nice flavors but it is lacking a bit in complexity. The flavors that are there are balanced pretty well and it drinks like a well executed fruited sour. Worth a try if this one comes back.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 7/6/2016. Pours slightly hazy golden/orange/amber, light reddish/pink color with a 2-3 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big sour/tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin/seed, blackberry, lemon, lime, orange, peach, plum, pear, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, oak, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of leathery/musty/lacto funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of blueberries, fruity/acidic/funky/spicy yeast, oak foeder, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big sour/tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin/seed, blackberry, lemon, lime, orange, peach, plum, pear, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, oak, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of leathery/musty/lacto funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/sour berries, fruit skin/seed, lemon, lime, orange, peach, plum, pear, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, oak, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light leather/funk/vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of blueberries, fruity/acidic/funky/spicy yeast, oak foeder, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness and tangy fruit balance; with minimal puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness, tangy fruit, and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is an awesome fruited Berliner weisse. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of blueberries, fruity/acidic/funky/spicy yeast, oak foeder, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and pretty refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic. Very flavorful for the ABV. Awesome balance of big jammy berries, and Brett/Lacto complexity; with nice oak foeder presence, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Zero residual sweetness with crisp acidic/tangy dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example as expected. Aged really well for the low ABV.

Here comes another Frucht beer. Now, I'm an unabashed Hottenroth fan, so when Bruery went this direction with their berliners, I wasn't exactly a fan. I've come to enjoy the frucht series though, but nonetheless, still doesn't hold a candle compared to Hottenroth.
Anyways, this pours a light purple color, they must have used a lot of blueberries to get this color I first thought. The head forms a pinkish color, goes up to almost 1/2" but then it quickly recedes to just a thin 1/5" range. Aroma was lactic sour, lemons and sweet blueberry. Wouldn't really say oak or wheat are noticeable.
Taste wise, on the sour scale, jeez, this is like a 9.5 on the 10pt scale for berliners. Shit, it could be a 10. This is a wild ale with some wheat. Maybe. Its sour AF. The wood is super drying, the fruit is nice, I did like that. But in the end, I think I like Bearegarde more, and this doesn't really separate itself from that, even though they should be different styles of beer. Its similar to Tartare, in that it is sour and pretty acidic. But like that beer too, I like this one, but it isn't what I want in a berliner, but as a wild ale, its good stuff I still enjoy.

750ml bottle into a tulip appears a clear ruby color with pinkish stained head.
The nose is blueberry bubblegum, slight floral and phenolic across the back.
It tastes sour and phenolic. Actually grippingly sour and painful the more you sip on it as it gets warm.
This is light in body with moderate carbonation. It gets tannic and strips all the moisture left in my mouth. This is not the way berliners were meant to be enjoyed, its a full on american wild ale not a refreshing lactic berliner. Would not buy again.

Split with JLindros.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice slightly hazy dark ruby purple hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light wisps.
S - Aromas of big sweet berries, generic purple red berries. Light acidity.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with more generic berries, good acidity and nice fruity notes.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, but there was a rather big flemmy note.
O - Overall this was a rather solid Frucht. The blueberry is generic, however, it is rather pleasant.

Taste mild sweet malt, tart berry again generic purple berry, blueberry, boisenberry, tart mild bitter berry and seed, juicy tart berry beer, a little sour, mild flemmy acidicy funky beer, fair acidity all over, bitter tannic seed and tartness lingering on the finish.
Mouth is med to lighter bod, decent carb, a bit flemmy sour funk
Overall not bad, nice berry, not quite straight blueberry but decent generic berry,

Pours a gorgeous blue-tinted amber color with a nice wheat haze and a fat finger of off-white head. Quickly dissipates into a thin crown.
Soft tart blueberry and wheat notes in the nose.
Nice blueberry tartness and sourness -- much less bracing than the apricot version I opened recently. Lightly puckering with subtle berry flavor lingering in the aftertaste. Just a hint of the oak barrel.
Soft, fuzzy feel.
This is a great beer. I love how the wheat shows itself in the look, smell, taste and feel.

750mL bottle acquired through The Bruery's Society. Bottled 7/5/16. Served in a Bruery snifter.
A hearty but far from vigorous pour creates quite a gusher. The glass fills a deep, nearly opaque purple with three full fingers of lilac froth on top. That head fades quickly, with neither retention nor lace.
The aroma is a bit familiar now. Soured wheat, funky wet wood and vague fruit pulp. The blueberries are a bit more apparent as this warms but still rather distant.
They might not have been too obvious in the nose but puckeringly tart blueberries kick off the flavor. The base of soured wheat, wet oak, vague vanilla, earth and some fruit skins rounds it out.
Light body with restrained carbonation. That dominant sour blueberry lingers in the finish along with some earthen and oaky funk.
Not sure what it is but even though I really like blueberries this Frucht release wasn't quite on the same level as the previous ones I've tried. Nevertheless this is not at all bad and The Bruery has another solid oak aged Berliner.
