A: Poured into a tulip glass to a deep red beer which is topped by a dense and slightly rocky two fingers of off white head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of cherries and raspberries with some nice oak and light funk.
T: Taste is juicy cherries up front with some hints of raspberry. Sourness builds throughout with some slight spice from the rye along with some nice oak notes. On the finish there's more sour cherries and raspberries with some more spice, oak, and a touch of funk.
M: This beer has a body which is on the heavier side of medium with a slightly syrupy feel. Carbonation is adequate for the style but it could stand to be a touch more lively while the beer has a drying finish due to the acidity.
O: Overall this is a really fun beer. Nice flavors and some solid complexity despite being pretty fruit forward. Well worth trying if they bring this one back.
