Pours from bottle a hazy dark orange, initial dark peach 1" head settling out to a solid ring, a few streaks of lacing, light visible carbonation. Nose has lots of tart and funky stone fruit notes (nectarine, apricot, cherry, even fig) along with characteristic vanilla notes from the oak; some mentholated muskiness underneath as well. Taste is very barrel forward like many of these Terreux sours, but the sour fruit builds up and lingers nicely through the finish. Of all the fruit, kumquat is the one that shines through the most, alternating nicely between sweet and sour notes. Carbonation gives this a good crispness which invites further sipping. Overall, the biggest knock is that barrel plays a little strong up front, but beyond that, it's a satisfying sour.

A: Overripe peach and nectarine with a light amount of berries with moderate light sourness.
A: Bright orange color, lightly hazy with a thinnish white head that quickly forms a ring around the glass.
T: Lots of overripe peach and nectarine with a light berry presence, coupled with a moderate sourness.
M: Medium light bodied with moderate carbonation. There is a light amount of acidity.
O: Solid; the peaches and nectarines are very prominent and almost give an overripe aroma and flavor. The beer has an interesting fruit complexity, but the sourness is a bit too acidic.
