Can't remember whether it was the Wild & Hoppy festival, the anniversary party, the Firestone Walker invitational etc. . . but I've had a few of these Bruesicles, including this one which sounded like the best of all the ones I've tried.
Looks very similar to orange juice. There isn't a head on it like its a "normal" "beer". Aroma is sweet and stone fruit tropical citrusy. Again, not really like a "normal" beer, there isn't really hops, malt or yeast to be discerned in the aroma.
The taste is sweet and like one of those juice drinks people at health clubs drink. I could see this being a decent option at a morning tailgate before you want to start drinking "beer" if you know what I mean. I dunno, the weird part is this kind of reminded me of when my parents would leave a weak screwdriver in the fridge as a kid and I would take an initial pull of off it and realize there was some alcohol along with the orange juice.
They're neat to look at, but I don't think we have to worry about 6 packs of these showing up at your local supermarket.

Thanks to Kirb and Tim for making the haul to DC to pick up our member bottles and fill a few crowlers (this among them.) Having never had a bruesicle before, I was anxious to see what they are about.
From crowler to snifter, the brew appears a hazy orange juice look with no head formation at all.
The nose is fruity orangish and not much else. It tastes like fruity orange juice but slightly sweet yet tart. Very simple tasting with not a lot going on yet strikingly familiar at the same time.
This is medium in body and honestly hardly tastes like beer. It would be a great breakfast drink.
