i have really enjoyed the beers ive had in this frucht series, and this is another good one, mixed fruits this time, raspberry, cherry, orange, and lemon. i think the raspberry really leads the way in the nose and taste, awesomely tart with the lactic souring of the base berliner, nice and harmonious with the raspberry really, and all the other fruits together seem to make more of a passion fruit essence than anything else, i would have guessed there was actual passion fruit in this. the lemon is strong in here too, very natural, and it highlights the berries without ever allowing this to be sweet, which is uncommon and immediately sets this apart from the field. i like that it still has some yeast character beyond the bacterial side, and how clean the pucker is, super expertly done overall, and i think the combination of fruits here is fantastic. tangerine, lemongrass, even white wine also seem to make appearances, but its the tangy raspberry and clean citrus that really define this one, that and the essence of passion fruit on the swallow. nice carbonation, lighter body, and very natural fruit profile, not as intensely dosed a some of the others in this series have been, but maybe more drinkable as a consequence of that. really excellent stuff here, some of the best fruited berliner type beer out there right now for my money...

Copper colored with a with moderate carbonation bubbles rising from within. No discernible head. The complexion is very hazy upon the second pour. I smell cherry, orange and a trace of woodsy oak. I’m tasting raspberry and then a burst of citrus, lemon, and raspberries. The mouth is highly carbonated and the acidic edge is tempered by the oak aging.

A: Poured into a Duvel tulip to a nice shade of reddish pink topped by a finger and a half of white head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing.
S: Smells like Hawaiian Punch with some nice sourness along with a little creamy wheat.
T: Taste is raspberries and cherries with a little citrus, nice sourness throughout along with some creamy wheat. There's a little wood at times as well but hidden in the background. On the swallow the raspberries, cherries, and citrus come out to play again with some sweet and creamy wheat in the background. There's almost a faint vanilla note but I think my mind is playing tricks on me.
M: This one is fairly light in body but it is not watery. Carbonation is lively and effervescent but it isn't too bad. This beer has a drying finish which is expected due to the acidity.
O: Overall this is a very enjoyable beer. It has some great flavors and some killer complexity due to all the fruit additions they did to it. Maybe not the truest to style since it was aged on fruit instead of using a fruit syrup to take the edge off the sourness but this one really doesn't disappoint as a fruited sour beer. Worth a try if you can get it and like the style.

On tap at Khyber Pass Pub in Philadelphia.
Pours a vibrant red with hardly any head.
Smell is tart with notes of cranberries, raspberries and some grass.
Taste is more sour than the nose indicates with quite a bit of acidity. Notes of cranberries, raspberries and some vanilla. Long, dry finish.
Mouthfeel is thin to medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a very nice sour that is a little bit too acidic for the body.

Terreux fruit punch. Pours a slightly hazy reddish pink. Nose is raspberry, blueberry, lemon, bready note on the finish along with a bit of funk. Taste is tart but smooth- notes of sour candy, raspberry, watermelon, lemon-lime. Body is what you would hope for with this beer, not too thin, but fairly soft. Overall I really enjoyed the different notes this one throws out, certainly more complex with the different fruit components.
