Barrel-aged sour ale with blueberry, vegan marshmallows, and vanilla.
Bruesicles are smoothie-style tart ales, crafted with loads of hand-processed fruit and designed to take your tastebuds on the perfect summer vacation. True to The Bruery Terreux style, the base beer is barrel-aged and loaded with complexities.
This iteration uses a magical combination of flavors, blueberry and vegan marshmallows, for a jammy smoothie like nothing you’ve tasted before

Deep, purple color. Thin, pink head. Blueberries and vanilla dominate in the aroma. Thick, tart taste. Well-balanced, juicy, not overly sweet, and tasty!

Canned 8/9/22
So this is my first beer from Tavour. I signed up like a few years ago but didn’t actually start using it until last month when I heard they’d be getting some rare Revolution releases. There turned out to be a lot of cool stuff on there, including this one. Having one of these “Smoothie Sours” being barrel aged is always a fun twist, so let’s see what this is all about
Pours a an opaque bright purple with absolutely no head
This nose is very subdued here, just a little fruity and rather sweet. I’m picking up on aromas of jamming blueberry, sweet vanilla, lemon juice, tart raspberry, and marshmallow
It’s still not super expressive in taste, but the gentle approach is quite nice. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting tart blueberry, lemonade, sweet vanilla, raspberry, cereal grain, and light marshmallow. The swallow brings notes of jammy blueberry, lemon zest, tart raspberry, marshmallow, sweet vanilla, and the slightest hint of oak that lingers
A medium full body pairs with very gentle carbonation, resulting in a smooth and rich beer. Finishes surprisingly dry, I think the slight barrel presence helps with that and increases the drinkability
This isn’t anything groundbreaking for the style, but it’s rather well done. Definitely a fun beer
