When a cherry and a plum have a baby they call it a Cherum. When a Cherum and a beer make sweet music, we call it Cherum Jazz. Built on the backbone of our Train to Beersel base, we used a touch of Jasmine Flower to bring a sweet and delicate aromatic profile and we think it really sings.

Alright here goes some small batch horders consumed in the Fall of 2023. Review written end of fall 2025.
Pours brass like color leaning into light amber. Scaled head looks about the 3/4" white variety. Aroma was heavy sourness and the jasmine flower aspect shone through. Cherum mixes the dark fruit and brighter cherry to a point its just a kind of indiscernible result of "fruit".
The taste is that of a fruited wild ale. Heavy sourness. Mouthfeel, heavy acidity. The Train to Beersel base was one I liked, but it was heavy alcohol, heavy sourness and that is of no difference here, still present. But I do like the taste, even if it is challenging at times dealing with the dark fruit bitterness and booziness. Couldn't pull oak beyond the relative dryness going on. The levels of sourness kind of obliterate the softness of jasmine that was in the nose. Everything has its plan, either way. I would have planned this as a 5% beer, but that's just me.

375ml bottle poured into a snifter
A- pours a clear golden color with a one-finger foamy white head that reduces to a ring
S- ripe plum leads the way on aroma with some cherry and tropical fruit undertones. Undertones of lemon, acidic tartness, hay, floral notes and a bit of barnyard funk
T- fruity and funky up front with the base beer really shining through. Mid-palate gives fruity plum notes with some tart cherry flavor poking through. The finish gives more fruity notes with a hint of oak rising up. Sour linger with the cherum sticking around
M- medium-light body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a tart and semi-dry finish

Just had this on tap to follow an earlier tasting from the bottle. A really good sour - pretty funky with nice cherry and plum favors. Clean and well balanced. Nice relatively light bodied beer for a warm afternoon!

A: Poured into a tulip to a golden orange that's slightly hazy. The beer is topped by a dense and rocky finger of white head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of some nice sourness and funk with some floral notes and a nice amount of cherum aroma
T: Taste is nice and fruity up front with a good bit of sourness. There's some funk and jasmine flavor with a nice amount of cherum flavor. On the swallow there's a lot of cherums, lingering sourness, more jasmine, and a touch of oak.
M: The beer has a body which is on the lighter side of medium. Carbonation is adequate but not quite effervescent while the beer has a drying finish due to the acidity.
O: Overall this is a really tasty beer. Train to Beersel is a great base beer to add on and everything they did was additive rather than subtractive. Definitely worth a try and one that I wouldn't mind seeing again.
