This small lot of Tripel has a rich body, and medium subtle acidity that is enhanced by the creaminess of both the coconut and vanilla. After a long sojourn in rum barrels, it gains depth and complexity. It's a trip alright.

A: Poured into a Bruiery tulip to a golden orange beer topped by a dense and slightly rocky finger of white head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing.
S: Smells of light sourness with hints of rum barrels, coconuts, and vanilla
T: Taste is a nice sourness up front with a strong sweet orchard fruit, hints of coconut, vanilla and rum barrel coming in on the back end and drying things out a little. Touch of cherry sweetness too from somewhere. On the swallow it's more tartness, rum, orchard fruits, slight peppery note, coconut and vanilla.
M: This beer has a fairly full body and is creamy in feel. Carbonation is effervescent without being excessively prickly while the beer has a drying finish due to the acidity.
O: Overall this one is really interesting. Really nice mix of flavors and a ton of complexity. It all seems to barely hold together though since there's just so much going on. Definitely one to be sipped and savored.
