The second of three Side Project collaborations inspired by traditional orange wine making methods. Using the same base beer as the first project, but this time fermented with whole grapes on skins and even more time spent in oak. The result is rustic, funky, and excitingly unique.

A: Poured into a Duvel tulip to a bright and clear golden orange topped by a fluffy finger of white head which faded very quickly leaving minimal lacing.
S: Smells of slightly mineralic white grapes, some nice citrus acidity with some hints of oak.
T: Taste is slowly buiding acidity with some nice white grape notes, hints of oak, nice mineralic flavor, a little melon and orchard fruit at times. On the swallow there's a slight citrus, more white grapes, a hint of doughy malt, and oak.
M: This beer is on the lighter side of medium in body with a fairly neutral feel. Carbonation is bright and effervescent while the beer has a drying finish due to the slight acidity.
O: Overall this is an interesting beer. Not sure why they've decided to go all out on beer/wine hybrids but this one works well. Not much in the way of beer flavor but it's about what you'd expect to find in a wild ale. Nice acidity that isn't too over the top and a nice complexity with flavors that work really well together. This one is worth trying if you can get your hands on it.
