750ml bottle poured into a snifter
A- pours black in color with a one-finger foamy khaki head that reduces to a ring around the glass
S- aroma is all over the place; initial barrel aromas give both oaky bourbon and sweet rum, adding notes of caramel, ripe banana & brown sugar. Underneath, layers of raisin, fig, peach & apricot, followed by a light creamy vanilla note. The base beer provides dark chocolate, booze & anise
T- tart and fruity up front with the blueberry most noticeable, followed by some chocolaty notes. Mid-palate brings out some stone fruit, followed by rummy notes of brown sugar, ripe banana and dried dark fruits. The bourbon barrel pops up near the finish, adding oaky barrel juice and vanilla. Lingers of tart fruit, chocolate and barrel
M- medium body with moderate-low carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns slightly creamy into a warming finish

A: Poured into a snifter to what is essentially a black beer which is topped by a small light tan head which fades quickly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of tons of fruit notes with some sourness and vanilla and a hint of bourbon barrels
T: Taste is building sourness up front with a mix of blueberries and stone fruits, slight vanilla, a bit of roasted malts, dark chocolate and coffee along with some oak. On the finish it's a little charred wood, dark chocolate, lingering oak, vanilla, and slight sourness
M: This beer is surprisingly viscous feeling on the palate but it isn't super heavy. Carbonation is low and lightly effervescent while the beer has a drying finish due to the acidity.
O: Overall this was a really nice addition to the sour BBLs lineup. Plenty of fruit but also allowed the base beer/beers to shine through a little. I also sat on this for quite some time. The vanilla has probably faded, but the rest of the beer was pretty well integrated and balanced.
