Mmmmm...BOP! Premium barrels of Sour In The Rye were treated with blood orange, peach, Holy basil, and Thai basil. Brued to taste and inspired by the Monday after work cocktails we've come to love— this sipper is loaded with fruit-forward flavors, is easy to drink and absolutely refreshing.

375ml bottle poured into a snifter

A- pours a clear golden amber with a one-finger foamy white head that reduces to a ring

S- lemon/lacto tartness on the nose, complimented by oak. Zesty citrus and peach undertones with just a hint of an herbaceous aroma

T- tart and lemony up front with some lactic sourness, followed by a juicy peach note. The finish gives some zesty orange with more juicy peach, lingers of tart lemon

M- medium body with moderate-low carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel and a dry tart finish

A: Poured into a tulip glass to a deep golden orange beer which is topped by a dense and slightly rocky finger of white head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of tons of peaches with some orange along with some basil. Nice sourness and oak notes too.
T: Taste is sour peaches up front with some orange notes, nice basil herbalness to add some bitterness and balance, a little oak as well with just a touch of funk. On the swallow there's more sour peaches, orange, oak, and funk with some slight basil at the very end.
M: This beer has a moderate amount of body with a slightly creamy feel. Carbonation is kind of low but still effervescent while the acidity ensures that this beer has a drying finish.
O: Overall this is a really enjoyable beer. It has some good flavors and a really nice amount of complexity. The balance is on point as well. Sour in the Rye is a really nice beer and the adjuncts on top of that are fantastic.
