Variant of Wit The Funk
Our industrial countryside-like farmhouse facility is known for producing the traditional flavors derived from terroir-driven beers. Only for our Hoarders, we took a our foeder-aged wit and treated it to taste with dragon fruit and orange zest. Some might say the result in divine.

375ml bottle poured into a teku
A- pours a slightly hazy golden color with a one-finger white head that reduces to a ring, tons of particles floating around
S- fruity tartness on the nose with aromas of green apple, lemon, pear, orange zest, apple cider vinegar, crackers
T- slightly acidic tartness up front gives notes of green apple and pear, followed by some citrus undertones. The finish gives more apple with a soft tart, acidic finish
M- light body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns slightly creamy into a crisp, tart finish

A: Poured into a bruery tulip to a bright golden yellow beer that's slightly hazy. The beer is topped by a finger of dense white head which fades quickly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing.
S: Smells of dragonfruit and some definite sourness with a touch of orange.
T: Taste is dargonfruit and tartness with some orange zest. Slight clean malty notes from the base beer with some hints of doughy bread. Dragonfruit remains a prominent note though throughout the drink. On the swallow there's more dragonfruit, tartness, orange zest and slight hints of funk.
M: this beer has a body which is somewhat light but it is not watery. Carbonation is effervescent while the beer has a drying finish due to the acidity.
O: Overall this is a really nice beer with some good flavors and decent amount of complexity. Not super sour but well balanced.

Small Batch Hoarders: Fruit of the Dragon
Bruery Terreux
Date: No Date
Another Session beer, this one is sour. The beer is 44 degrees and served in my Bruery glass. The pour created an airy and foamy white head with no retention. No lacing was left on the glass as it dissipated. The color charts around SRM 6, golden yellow with light amber hues. The clarity is clear with loads of carbonation bubbles.
The aromas I smell are orange zest, crackers, lightly toasted malts, a tinge of apple cider vinegar, fruity sweetness, and a touch of funk. I have eaten dragon fruit several times; moreover, I do not pick up any of that on the nose.
The flavors are orange, crackers, earthiness, straw, funky horse, wheat, crackers, and fruity sweetness.
The mouthfeel of the beer is puckering and dry.
The body of the beer is medium, medium-high carbonation, and has a medium finish.
The delicate dragon fruit flavor is lost in the sour. The beer is okay, but they have made a better sour.
