A: Poured into a tulip glass to a deep bronze orange beer which is topped by a dense and slightly rocky ginger of off white head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of lime zest, rye spice, sourness, gin botanicals. It smells like summer in a glass
T: Taste is tartness and rye spice up front with some lime zest, cucumbers, gin barrels and botanicals with a little more citrus zest. On the swallow there's more gin and rye spice with more sourness, lime zest and some slight lingering cucumber.
M: This beer has a body which is about a medium. Carbonation is slightly effervescent but it is a little low for the style while the beer has a drying finish due to the acidity.
O: Overall I'm enjoying this one a lot more than I thought I would since I'm not huge on gin. Despite my thoughts from the nose to the palate this has been a very bright smelling and tasting beer. Great balance and a really nice amount of complexity that makes this beer a very enjoyable and interesting drink. I'd love to see this one come back.
