This Hoarders exclusive has brandy written all over it. We took our Sour Blonde Ale and aged it in apple brandy barrels, but that just wasn't enough, so we added some Macintosh apples to the mix. The result is a cocktail-like concoction that sips funky and fresh.

A: Poured into a tulip glass to a light slightly hazed golden yellow. The beer is topped by a finger and a half of dense and slightly rocky white head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of sour apples on the nose with hints of grape skin, a touch of funk, and some light sweetness.
T: Taste is quite sour up front with some sour grapes and sour apple, hints of funk and oak coming in as well. On the finish there's more lingering sourness and apples with a slight minerality.
M: This beer has a body which is on the lighter side of things. Carbonation is effervescent and slightly prickly while the acidity gives this beer a drying finish.
O: Overall this beer is pretty good. It has a pretty powerful amount of pucker going on. I might have chose poorly for a beer to reacclimate myself to Bruery sour blondes as this one is quite potent. Still enjoyable though.

375ml bottle poured into a tulip

A- pours a hazy golden yellow with a one-finger foamy white head that has good retention before settling into a ring around the glass. Lemon and lactic tartness on the nose, followed by oak & light apple brand and apple skin

T- tart and acidic up front with notes of lemon juice, pear and some earthy yeasty funk. Mid-palate gives a hint of apple skin, as well as some oak. The finish brings out the apple brandy, which adds a hint of sweetness and lingers fo brandy

M- light-medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a crisp, foamy finish
