This horse has been in the orchard, but now it's time to hit the grove. This foeder-aged tart Saison is funky and fruit-forward with notes of pomegranate and apricots. It's rounded out quite nicely with a hint of spice from the white pepper.

A: Poured into a tulip glass to a light golden orange beer which is topped by a small white head which quickly disappears to form a collar around the edge of the glass
S: Smells of oaky funk with some nice fruity sourness.
T: Taste is pleasant sourness up front leading into some light oak and funk with some good pomegranate notes. On the finish there's more sourness and funk with additional pomegranate and oak.
M: This beer has a body which is on the lighter side of things but it is not watery. Carbonation is effervescent and adequate for the style while the beer has a drying finish due to the acidity.
O: Overall this is a really nice sour beer. Good flavors and a good a mount of complexity make this an enjoyable beer to drink. The acidity isn't over the top either which is nice.

375ml bottle poured into a snifter
A- pours a clear golden color with a one-finger foamy white head that reduces to a ring around the edge
S- juicy apricot and tart vinegar, followed by some barnyard notes, straw, lemon & just a hint of pomegranate
T- juicy apricot opens up first, along with some acidic vinegary tartness. Mid-palate brings out some funk, with notes of vinegar and some barnyard earthiness. The finish gives light pomegranate and more juicy apricot, which sticks around on the linger along with a hint of cracked pepper
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a juicy tart finish
