Another beer from the finale flight in late February 2022. Pours a cranberry grape juice like color. Dark red, purple. Its pretty, but doesn't really make much of a head, leans towards more of a trendy wine appearance moreso than 'beer'.
The aroma brought a heavy dirty sock contingent to the nose. Hot cheese at the bottom of dirty gym socks. You dig it the most. But I don't love/hate it.
Taste exceeds expectations. Definitely presents a grape and earth profile. Sourness level restrained for the Bruery. Doesn't completely envelope the rest of the beer. Where the beer excels is how it manages to make a 10.4.% abv sour not come off super hot, boozy or acidic. I loathe wild ales at that imperialized strength, but this did a great job at getting over that aspect of it. I guess it owes some of that to the more wine like aspects. Sawft carbonation suits it well in that regard.
Should be interesting to see what the bottle is like whenever we get around to crushing it.

750 ml bottle, 2021 vintage, couldn't find a bottling date on this. Served in a Teku, the beer pours a reddish/purple color with not quite an inch off-white head that fizzled away quickly. Not much lacing at all. The brew smells like red grapes, funk, lemony citrus, and some red berries. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some grape skins, earthy and vinegary flavors. I think the grapes stand out in both the taste and aroma. Nice amount of tartness too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick with a moderate amount of soft carbonation. I thought this was a good overall brew, definitely worth trying if you come across some!
