C’est la vie… and c’est the pinnacle of Terreux-style oenobeers: Petite Sirah, Syrah, and Malbec grapes and wort, natively cofermenting in harmony. All the funky tartness comes straight from the wild yeast and microorganisms found on the grapes’ surface, blending beautifully with our classic imperial Rueuze base. Rich, vinous, and one-of-a-kind, c’est tres bonne!

Pours a light purple, no head or lacing. Nose is Bruery oak, grape, maybe some light hop? Flavor is very wine-forward - hard to detect much of a beer element here. As it warms, the only beer contribution seems to be a roast element which takes away from some of the complexity of the grape and the barrel. Feel is on the light side with no carbonation. Should have just bought a bottle of wine, I guess.

750 ml corked bottle, 2021 vintage. Served in a Teku, the beer pours a dark reddish/purple color with maybe a 1/4 inch light pinkish head that fizzled away quickly. Not much lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells mostly like red grapes/wine, along with some blackberries, oak, and a bit of vanilla. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some funk, currant and grape skin flavors. There's a slight tart berry tinge but it's more earthy/wine-like tasting to me. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit coating and rich with a low amount of carbonation. I enjoyed this brew, definitely worth trying if you're into beer/wine hybrids!
