Copenhagen 26/5 2023. 75 cl waxed bottle from Best of Beers web-shop. Black label with Annuel in gold and a short description of the beer with white letters.
Pours opaque, murky brown with a red hue. Small off-white head. Bubbly. Disappears fairly fast leaving a thin rim of foam running along the sides of the glass.
Aroma is fairly intense with a light sweet and fruity odor mingling with a prominent sour scent. Blackberry and currants. Sour gooseberries and green apples with a light touch of vinegar and sour cheese. A bit of wood and alcohol.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lively and tingling texture. Almost fizzy.
Flavor is intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong tart sourness. Aftertaste is tart but with a warming, boozy sweetness lurking underneath. Lingering. Finish is dry.
A powerful annual sour blend.
