listed at the brewery when i had it at 4.2% abv, perhaps some batch variance. i think they call the base nevada weiss, and do some different variations of it, but this one is really solid, even though not all in our group liked it like i did. i think the cucumber is really authentic on this, and it hits so forward, so far in front of the lime, so its one then the other, not both at once, so thats cool. its pale straw colored beer and just a little cloudy, carbonated like soda, obviously light bodied, and with a short film of white head. the nose here is awesome, genuine cucumber, green waxy peel, hotel water, spa eyes, the whole thing, seedy and fresh sliced and a little bit bitter, but then zesty and essential oily and bitter on the lime, great marriage of real ingredients here on a simple base where the lacto hits like lemon, and the citrus elements compliment each other super well. not a lot of wheat in the aroma or the flavor, but the sourness is dialed, just piquant, and the ferment is clean, summery all around. the cucumber is all up front, green and vegetal and sort of salubrious, while the lime comes late like a tropical cocktail, washes the palate clean, and lets some grain linger on the finish in a dry cereal way, to me more pils than wheat, but sure, both are here. nice water chemistry, cool cucumber is wonderful, and the high carbonation suits this well. easy drinking, not too sour, different enough to stand out, nice mix of flavors and nothing overdone. their wild stuff ruled the day, but this was solid in every way too! i hope to try some other variants next time.
