Had this at Strange Brew 2018. Right away I knew there was something a little off with this beer. I dunno if it is a true "ice" beer, but that would be a not pleasant direction, to distill off the ice and make a stronger style of a beer that is supposed to be light and refreshing. . . The color is like that papaya blend of orange and red. WTF? Almost no head on the beer. Aroma was a weird smack of is that alcohol? Wheat and a tart tanginess aren't coming across in the nose.
The taste was just not the berliner I'm accustomed to, which I know these guys can make well. The light body of the wheat and a soft citric tang was not there. It was heavier and bigger, with a weird off taste that could have been the higher (it seems) amount of alcohol.
I dunno, this was a total pass for me.
