Just added the beer to this Next Glass database. Also writing the review, yeah bouy. So looks like this is a blend of two beers, their strong golden ale and apricotnvweisse. When I drank it, I didn't know it, just thought it was like an apricot pale ale.
Pours an apricot like color, pretty far from good clarity, but not a hazy beer either. 1/5" white head. Light apricot aroma. At this point, I was like, not really hoppy, just using the fruit. Didn't catch the wild or wheat angle in the nose either. Didn't think there was a noticeable belgian yeast, but like I said, I was all over the place on this one style wise.
The apricot taste is the best thing here. Comes on much better on the palate than the nose. Perhaps the yeast confused my nose, but I still wasn't tasting it here. Mouthfeel didn't do much either way, still wasn't pulling wheat, but it also didn't get acidic or pulpy with the fruit. It was a decent drink. I'd like to try it again to see if I can deconstruct it better than last time.
