Here's another beer from one of last month's visits to BeerNV after a day skiing at Mt. Rose. Not only did I add it to the BA database, but I'm also writing a review for it because I'm not a total sociopath.
Pours a dark pink color. Not sure what cara cara is but this is a color that seems congruent with dragon fruit. Barely makes a much lighter pink/white head around the 1/6" range. So good color, meh head formation.
The aroma was fruity and sour. For as much as Imbib stresses the old world way about doing wild ales, this one smelled like a stainless steel kettle sour. It lacked the wheat you smell in a berliner, and it lacked the aroma of a berliner, way too heavily fruited for this style of beer (some would say any fruit isn't for this style, but you have to kind of hate yourself to stick to those guns).
Taste was more on par with a wild ale than a berliner. The sourness was amped up, just like the acidity, and the fruity sourness dominated any aspect of wheat in the taste and mouth feel. Kind of seemed like it would be a Frucht dragonfruit berliner if you will, just pushing high levels of fruit and sourness for a berliner weisse, more like a wild ale. Did it taste good? Yes, if you like those fruits you'll like them here, there is a lot of them. Still managed the levity in the mouth feel, so that was at least berliner-esque.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
