Another selection from BeerNV, nice place with lots of Nevada beer, can avoid 4th street and the Midtown dive corridor that way.
Pours a maroon like color. I guess I would call that head a faded pink. 2/5". The aroma hits with a small amount of berry, lactose, vanilla, sourness and graham cracker like influence. Gotta look for it to find it.
The taste is a significant improvement and what matters most. The berry aspect jumps much higher than it does in the nose. The sourness is a solid 5 on the 10pt scale, so right in the wheelhouse mouthfeel wise. Easy to drink, vanilla and lactose do a stellar job at keeping this from having any burn or being too challenging. Good tart.
In terms of what tastes and feels like a stainless steel kettle sour, this is kind of a peak rating. Its simple and straightforward and makes things like vanilla and lactose seem fitting. None of the pie like adjuncts are too heavy. Avoids the trappings of style. Well done.

neat funky sour beer here done with marionberries, vanilla, lactose, and a soft handed pie spice complex, not quite as compelling as their more funk less acid wild beers, but rather well done, the yeast shines with the fruit, the vanilla and lactose and spices are subtle enough to actually just be accents, and as such this is more beer than dessert thankfully, bucking recent style trends. its slightly murky pinkish purple with a short spritzy head and a little bit of dullness to it despite the pretty color, some sediment in suspension. the nose is great, and the flavor is real similar, the tangy and jammy sweet berries hit natural, robust, and fully compatible with the tartness in here, which is lactic, lightly lemony, but also has a little more complexity to it than a standard kettle sour type, not bretty necessarily, but more wild, more diverse, i dont mind the acidity level because its multidimensional. the vanilla is natural too, hits mostly on the swallow for me, and if i try for it, i can manage to sort of taste pie crush, a light graham cracker sort of sweetness beneath the acid and the fruit, works if i let it. the lactose serves to balance some acidity and is tastefully done, and the spice is real light, cinnamon and maybe clove, but gentle. carbonation sags just a little and the body feels a little bigger than it needs to be, but the flavors are yummy and i get more from the yeast as it warms. cool beer, half trendy half old word, fully neat.
