loved this fruited version of their blended lambic type brew, real authentic to the old world as far as taste and i assume processes are concerned, and i love that its in green glass, so intentional and it lets the right amount and kind of funk develop in this, super impressive. it has a pretty pinkish red jewel tone to it from the fruit, is fizzy without collecting a massive head or anything, and has an epic nose of old world lambic funk and fresh tart raspberries, real as they come. i get well developed brett, oak and red wine, light vanilla and raw wheat, hints of sour cherry and cranberry along with the obvious raspberry, port wine, old wood, and just a little more piquant sourness than the unfruited one we had, i think picking up some acid from the berries, but still more funky than sour, very much lambic-esque, and i love the green glass character on it. the flavor is similar, clean raspberry, dry hay, white pepper, lemon, fresh and spunky but also reserved and mature, i really like the back and forth there, and i like how the raspberries are enhancing rather than dominating, wonderful proportions on this, and it warms up well. i thought overall the huckleberry was just a little more interesting in that im not sure ive ever seen huckleberry lambic before and raspberry is common, but this is super well executed, sure to age well, and impressively good for a brewery it seems like nobody has ever heard of. we had a killer time in here. get them on your radar!
