i believe there are several fruited versions of this, a strong berliner type kettle sour base with a minimal grain profile but enough structure to hold quite a lot of flavor. fashioned as an introductory sour of sorts, as opposed to all their wild and funky and lambic types they do, which were all outstanding in our experience. this is more of a new school trendy sour type, fruit punchy when we had it, reddish pinkish purple with a short white head and a nice glow. the nose is all kinds of fruit, cherry, plum, raspberry, it hits like a bunch of things all at once, some citrus making my mouth water with the lacto pucker, lemon and lime to me, and a slight floral element, jasmine tea or something, dynamic and springy and not at all heavy for what it is. there might be lactose in here too, but this isnt a dessert or pastry sour, its subtle and its balanced. the drink is a little soda-like, its alcohol is well hidden but its all fruit and less beer, spritzy feeling and not too acidic to drink a bunch of, but the fruits all sort of meld together and it takes on a light melted popsicle thing. i think overall this is better than a lot of beers in this style space, but next to their wild beers its not even close. fun and different, more of a mass appeal sour, and im sure the fruit combinations they do all add something unique to this. light vanilla, lemon, and red currant on the finish, tangy but cleanish on the swallow. fun and summery.
