I would almost call this their flagship beer (remember those?). Strange its not here yet. Barf to the rescue.
Pours golden yellow with some chill haze. 1/2" white head. The aroma was different. I thought I was drinking a lager yeast. And then there is the requisite sour lemon and grain nose to it.
The taste is admirable, hits the notes, grain pops nicely in a sub 4% abv. The sourness is better than a kettle sour berliner which often comes off like a wild ale instead, this avoided that. The intensity of the sourness is right in the style guideline wheelhouse. Pops that sourdough bread grain vibe throughout. I like this beer, but am yet to see it canned up or packaged outside of on draft. That would be nice.
I really hope we plow through some old beers for Summer Slam and Frontier Days. This beer would definitely get cracked in about 10 days.
