So the almighty bArF added the beer from like six months ago to the database. But wait, there's more! Yes, not just adding the beer, but also reviewing it for the first time at this Next Glass owned database.
Pours a golden light amber color. Looks familiar as beer. 1/4" white head leaning on the thin side. Aroma of mango. I guess the divy it up portion was the prickly pear. Couldn't discern the wheat of a berliner. Smells more like barley kettle sour, fruited style. Mango is cheap. Its here.
Taste is nice enough, gives a semblance of the possibility of actual percentage of wheat being used. The fruit still seems to take center stage above all else though. The mango is being cut by the prickly pear. The sourness is not out of this world and relatively restrained in berliner territory despite other aspects crying out for wild ale designation. It is plenty crushable and relatively light, so checkmarks earned there. I prefer the base version to this fruited version though.
The landslide brought it down.
