Appearance - The beer poured a murky copper color with a white head.
Smell - I smell malts. No hops are noted.
Taste - There is a huge malt presence here. I know this is not that old, so age can't be blamed. There is absolutely no hop presence. Some DIPAs are malt forward, but here the hops are smothered by sweet malts.
Mouthfeel - At least the mouthfeel is close to style. There is some thickness.
Overall - One can only intepret a style so liberally before it stops being a style. This is not an IPA, much less a DIPA.
